In 2018 the Wisconsin Afterschool Network was funded to create a comprehensive trauma-informed care training. While those interested in learning more will need to seek out WAN directly, this article establishes the groundwork needed to start conversations and engage staff with some foundational information around safety, trust, choice, collaboration and empowerment. This is a great starting place to build front-line staff capacity.
